Math fun

It's time to phone a friend for a little math fun...get your calculator...this
works!
(Note: Ignore your area code and use only your seven digit phone number)
1) What are the first 3 digits of your phone number? (do NOT include the area code)
2) Multiply by 80
3) Add 1
4) Multiply by 250
5) Add in the last four digits of phone number
6) Add in the last four digits of phone number again
7) Subtract 250
8) Divide by 2.
Is the result your phone number?

Here’s an example to show it…

Suppose a number is 2275639

1. First 3 digits are 227.

2. Multiplying by 80

    227*80=18160

3. Adding 1

    18160+1=18161

4. Multiplying by 250

    18161*250=4540250

5. Last 4 digits are 5639

    => 4540250+5639=4545889

6. Again adding last 4 digits we get…

    4545889+5639=4551528

7. Subtracting 250

    4551528-250=4551278

8. Dividing by 2…

    4551278/2=2275639

Voila…Same as original number…!!
