After the ban of cigarette smoking at public places in India the Honorable Supreme Court of India has made it mandatory for all cigarette manufacturing companies to illustrate the cigarette covers with the pictures which show how adversely the life of smoker can be affected by smoking. These photos mainly include the universal cancer symbol and photographs showing lung cancer and mouth cancer.
I greatly appreciate this decision because the number of people dying due this habit of smoking are increasing day by day in India. But at the back of my mind i am not entirely convinced that whether the decision will be a real success or not, because the people who are habitual to chain smoking will hardly be affected by it and will continue it without considering the deterioration it will cause in there life. Anyways the step may bring realization to some smokers that this is not what they want to pursue in life and thus may be helpful in saving there life from this vice.
I am greatly thankful to the think tanks of India who proposed this idea and now aim to implement it for the betterment of millions of people and my advice to those people for whom this decision is made is that, that it is time to “Stop SMOKING and start THINKING” what they want in life- a body full of diseases or a body which is healthy in all aspects.
